It looks like the pins slide up as if the springs are unable to hold tension on the pins. I have a 299D2 that when I try to use the electric quick coupler to try to release my attachment it makes a chartering sound and does not retract the pins. I tried switching the relays didn't make any difference. A user asks how to fix a coupler that does not fully disengage without a hammer. Another user suggests disassembly and inspection for possible fouling, corrosion or bending.
Has anyone ever have a problem with caterpillar hydraulic quick connects? I cant get one of the bucket pins to release. I can see the actuator move about 75% and just stop. The problem is when I uncouple and attachment the ram does not work. It's like it's stuck and won't move to uncouple the attachment. I keep it greased and it seems to work better (grease the fittings once a week).Customer: I have a Cat 259D compact tract loader with electric quick-connect attachment coupler. The electric motor for the coupler has failed. The wire has pulled out of the motor.
