Since I have owned it about (7-8 yrs) I am unable to run it under full load. By that I mean half stick forward or reverse, going up hills slows to a stall. At first I lived with it now it is frustrating as it will randomly stall now. If it is weak or not working at all, the engine probably will run relatively well under no load, but, as you indicated, needs to be eased into a heavier load condition gradually or it will bog down or stall altogether.
It may run good without load, but when under load is when you notice power loss. I can't really see anything else that could have gone that wrong with doing a head. Valce clearance is about all you need to re-set. Did the dealer put big enough hoses and fittings on it. If too small it will restrict the flow, cause hydraulic fluid overheat and bogging down as well. Let us know a bit more and maybe we can help more.

When I'm working the machine and it beings to load up the engine before its about to stall, if I let go of all the controls, it recovers relatively quickly, but is also quick to bog down to the point that it will stall. In both cases the machines would start and idle fine, bog down under load, and stop. If I got off the throttle soon enough, they would keep running at idle. My engines are completely mechanical, and not common rail.i have a 2005 asv rc-60 skidsteer loader. hydraulics seem to bog down and get weak when running auxillary and just driving under medium loads. i use a harley rake attachment for grade work. thought it .
Put the machine under a good load and see if engine continues to stall out. If it does, continue load on engine until it stalls and dies if possible. If that happens, immediately open rear door and see if fuel primer bulb is collapsed flat. Now, it seems that when I use the bucket under load, the engine wants to bog down. Is this an indicator of a governor issue? Help please. Reply. brdgbldr Well-known member. Skid Steer Supporter. Joined Jun 1, 2012 Messages 1,360. Yesterday at 2:42 PM #2 qtband said:
