My bobcat 763 G is blowing a park brake fuse after one use. It works once then goes. I have pulled the solenoid, it has a red,black and white wire and I am. So I am trying to check the parking brake solenoid, but apparently I'm not smart enough to figure out which one it is. Anyone got any indication where the brake solenoid is on a 280. It looks like on the 240-250s it is inside the hydaulic filter housing, but the 280 is different. You won't have any power to the brake solenoid until the keys on, seat switch activated first, then the seat belt switch, and finally press the park brake switch all the way down. Get out of the seat or unbuckle and it loses power to the solenoid.
Looking for help with 1999 JD 250 skid steer. The parking brake won't release, this locks out the drive and bucket hydraulics. Have tested and by passed the seat switch and the seat belt switch, replaced the park brake switch, still no movement. Can anyone provide guidance on replacing the Parking Brake Solenoid & Manifold on my Caterpillar 246 (s/n 5SZ07867)? The parking brake solenoid has no diagnostics for checking for faults in the system. The solenoid will NOT be energized when there is an open circuit or a short to ground. If the parking brake solenoid is shorted to the +battery the solenoid will be ON all the time. Test Step 1. CHECK FOR HYDROSTATIC OPERATION. Occupy the seat. Lower the armrest. #2. If both are flashing it indicates a fault in the pilot lock solenoid wiring. A.Occupy the seat. B.Place the armrest in the DOWN position. C.Turn the key start switch to the ON position.
