We converted a 3-point Shaver HD-10 post pounder to mount on our Bobcat S185 skid steer. We are having significant issues with getting good downforce to actually drive a post. We have talked to Shaver and have the special fitting for the return line to feed both the return and the case drain. I can convert my current driver for the Skid Steer but I don't have a good way to secure the return line to the hydraulic tank, and I doubt the return line on the aux hydraulic will allow oil to release fast enough. has anyone converted a three point post driver (shaver hd12) to a skid loader. How did you plumb the hydraulic return? Putting on a bobcat t300 Have a 3 point Shaver post driver that I would like to mount on a cat 236 skid steer. I find hydraulic return lines for all brands of skid steers except cat and asv. Is their a design problem with cat skid steers that prevents this?

Put an adapter on the 3/4” pipe thread to match the connector on the post driver. He says it works great. We have talked to Shaver and have the special fitting for the return line to feed both the return and the case drain. We are aware that we might need to run a large line to the back of the machine and plumb the return to the hydraulic fill port under the radiator screen.
The goal is to remove the screw-in filler plug with the goose neck breather while using the post driver. I will then connect my return line to the filler neck. This hydraulic return line kit is suitable for use when mounting a Shaver Post Driver to a skid steer with a case drain line. Case drain lines allow the return oil to flow back to the reservoir on the skid steer, bypassing the driver valve. This kit includes a tee fitting, hose and return line kit.
