Has anyone used a tire sealant such as Slime in skid steer loader tires? I'm sick of flats and tubes help but still end up going flat way too often. This is on a little tire on the smallest Bobcat loader built. I've used slime in skid steer, backhoe and loader tires for years . It has virtually illuminated flats caused from nails, screws and other small objects. You can buy it thru amazon for about .00 per gallon. The JD stuff is good for the life of the tire, and protects the rim from corrosion, dwhereas the Slime folks tell you you have to change it out every few years or it will corrode the rims. Foam filled tires suck! I have a set on an 85xt case and it is terribly rough riding, horrible traction, and they are heavy heavy heavy. Mine are worn out and I am going to replace them with a set of McLaren industries pneumatic tires ( the kind with the holes in them).

The TRC sealant fills a lot of holes and when you get new tires just drill a hole in the old one before removing it, drain the sealant out, remove the tire, scrape the excess sealant to the bottom and scoop it out, then save it for the next time or put it in the new tire. Anyone ever looked at water filled or weighted tires on a smaller bobcat like my 530? I was thinking the weighted tires would give a little extra counterweight for lift and help with traction without disrupting the balance of the machine.
This place has a product that they claim works. Ask for a gaurantee and if they don't have one, fill your tires with "Slime". You can get slime at WalMart. It will seal small leaks but not the large ones. Joe Some of my equipment does have slime in the tires and it does seem to work well on small punctures. On an existing hole I would insert a plug before the slime. As far as the bead goes, if it does seat with just air pressure try using dish soap as a bead sealant.Easily fix, repair and prevent flat tires on a skidsteer caused by nails or thorns. TireJect tire sealant is the highest rated to seal punctures up to 3/8” in the tread and sidewall. Also seals slow leaks, bead leaks and dry rot to extend the life of your tires.
